Vadym Novynskyi's Charitable Foundation in Honour of the Intercession of the Most Holy Mother of God provided lung ventilators and personal protective equipment to medical staff of municipal hospital No. 7 of Kamyanske town (Dnipropetrovsk region).

The latest delivery included two high-performance Carescape R860 (General Electric) lung ventilators. In addition, personal protective equipment, namely more than 1,000 protective screens and more than 1,000 biological protection suits, were handed over to all healthcare personnel of the town.

'We are grateful to Vadym Novynskyi, a shareholder of Metinvest, for his significant contribution to the fight against the pandemic. The new lung ventilators are significantly higher in class, efficiency and versatility compared to the domestic ones. Availability of this intelligent and very much needed equipment enables the municipal healthcare system to reach a whole new level in rendering the healthcare services, and to be prepared to counteract the spread of COVID-19 as much as possible,’ said Andriy Bilousov, the mayor of Kamyanske town, who was present at the hand-over procedure.

During the period of the pandemic, Vadym Novynskyi's Foundation also provided its support to single elderly people, delivering food packages to them.

In his turn, the general director of Dniprovskyi Coke and Chemical Plant Yevgeniy Didus noted that Metinvest, and its shareholders, continue to provide regular assistance to the towns and cities where the company's enterprises are located. ‘Kamyanske’s healthcare facilities were provided with personal protective equipment, in particular high protection class respirators and masks, suits for protection against biologically hazardous substances, medical goggles, and hand sanitizers. Earlier, the town received a substantial batch of rapid tests for detection of coronavirus,’ said the director of the enterprise.

As previously reported, Vadym Novynskyi's Foundation handed over 2 General Electric lung ventilators, as well as 1,000 sets of biological protection suits and 1,000 protective screens to Kryvyi Rih healthcare institutions (hospitals No. 17, 11 and Shyrokovska district hospital).

In addition, a high-performance PCR analyser from the Foundation was delivered to Kryvyi Rih to be used for quick detection of COVID-19 and other infections. Other supplied equipment included special boxes/chambers for transporting patients, as well as protective suits and masks. Healthcare facilities of Dnipropetrovsk region also received 11.5 thousand high protection class respirators and more than 10 thousand high protection class medical masks purchased by the Foundation, as well as 3 thousand biological protection suits. In addition, 10 thousand high-precision PCR tests purchased by the Foundation in South Korea were delivered to specialized laboratories of the region.

To date, the amount of charitable aid provided by Vadym Novynskyi's Foundation in the fight against the epidemic has totalled over UAH 100 million.
