Christ is Risen!

Dear brothers and sisters!

In the darkest minutes of life — when our usual world is falling apart and Heaven seems to be silent — a human heart asks the same question again and again: could it be that You have forsaken us, o Lord?

The Pascha of Christ is God's answer to this cry of heart. Not just words of consolation but a reality revealed to us by God: darkness, malice, and even death itself have neither power nor the final word anymore. The Lord infinitely loves us and is with us in all days unto the end of the age.

Today, the Church proclaims to the world the main news: Life is triumphant, hell is defeated, the gates of paradise are open for everyone who seeks salvation.

And it is a Victory which cannot be taken away anymore. A Victory based upon Love itself: the Son of God, Who voluntarily took on Himself the sins of each of us, sacrificed Himself on the Cross, and was risen on the third day.
'Love is joy, the price of love is sacrifice. Love is life, the price of love is death', teaches Saint Nicholas of Serbia.

And that is why Pascha is not only joy but also an incessant call for action and transfiguration. It is a huge responsibility.

Every one of us makes a choice again and again: to remain in the darkness or let the light of Christ into his heart and start passing it on.

May the Risen Christ illuminate our hearts, enter our lives, strengthen us in faith, and give peace — to us, our loved ones, and our land. May He teach us to believe, be patient, forgive, and truly love.
