Vadym Novynskyi's Foundation In Honour of the Intercession of the Most Holy Mother of God donated lung ventilators and personal protective equipment to medical staff of Mykolaiv municipal hospital No. 1.

The latest humanitarian supply included 2 high-performance lung ventilators manufactured by General Electric, as well as 1,000 sets of biological protection suits and 1,000 protective screens.

'Today it is very important to provide all healthcare personnel with personal protective gear, since they are the ones at the forefront of the fight against coronavirus. We are thankful to the Foundation and Smart-Holding for the provided charitable support. Thanks to such assistance, our city today occupies a worthy position in the healthcare field among other cities of Ukraine,' said the mayor of Mykolaiv, Oleksandr Senkevych during the formal hand-over procedure.

'The Foundation and Smart-Holding's businesses were among the first to respond to the authorities' call to help in the fight against the epidemic. We focused our efforts, primarily, on providing doctors with personal protective equipment, and providing healthcare facilities with test systems and high-quality equipment for critical cases. Mykolaiv, as one of the regions where our business is present, has always been in the focus of our attention. And although today the epidemiological situation in the city is stabilizing, the latest batch of aid will strengthen the capabilities of medical staff enabling them to cope with new challenges,' said Oleksandr Yurkov, a representative of the Foundation and the director of Naval Logistics, which is part of Smart-Holding.

Earlier Vadym Novynskyi's Foundation delivered 3,600 medical respirators, 5,500 enhanced-protection medical masks, and 960 protective suits to healthcare facilities of Mykolaiv region. In addition, 4,000 high-precision PCR tests purchased by the Foundation in South Korea were delivered to a specialized laboratory in the region.

To date, the total amount of charitable support provided by Vadym Novynskyi's Foundation and businesses of Smart-Holding in the fight against the epidemic is over UAH 100 million. 20 lung ventilators, more than 100,000 PPE kits for medical staff, and 100,000 DialPlexQ™ ️high-precision PCR tests have been purchased for healthcare facilities of Ukraine. In addition, the Foundation also bought almost 1 million protective masks for medical institutions, parishes of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC) and industrial enterprises of Ukraine. In order to support elderly people in Kherson, Mykolaiv, Mariupol, as well as Kyiv city and Kyiv region under the conditions of the quarantine, the Foundation organized targeted delivery of 12,000 food packages.
