Vadym Novynskyi's Foundation in Honour of the Intercession of the Most Holy Mother of God has provided personal protective equipment to healthcare personnel of Kherson region.
The latest humanitarian supply included 1,000 sets of biological protection suits and 1,000 protective screens.
‘We thank the Foundation and Vadym Novynskyi for their regular and consistent assistance to the region in the fight against the epidemic. The provided equipment will be distributed to regional healthcare facilities and will be protecting their medical personnel working at the forefront,’ said Vadym Chaban, the Deputy Head of Kherson Regional State Administration, during the hand-over procedure.
‘Kherson region, as one of the regions where Smart-Holding's businesses are present, has always been the focus of our charity efforts. Earlier, the Foundation delivered lung ventilators, PCR tests and protection gear to medical staff of the region’s healthcare facilities. Today, all this equipment saves lives of local residents and protects doctors. In recent days, the epidemiological situation in the region looked quite encouraging, yet, doctors should be prepared for possible new challenges,’ said Dmitriy Krasnikov, the CEO of Smart Maritime Group, which is part of Smart-Holding.
As was reported, earlier Vadym Novynskyi's Foundation granted 2 high-performance lung ventilators, a PCR laboratory, isolated chambers/boxes for transporting patients, 4,000 PCR tests and thousands of personal protective equipment kits for medical staff of Kherson region’s hospitals.
To date, the amount of charitable aid provided by the Foundation and Smart-Holding’s businesses in the fight against the epidemic has totalled more than UAH 100 million. 20 lung ventilators, over 100,000 PPE kits for medical staff, and 100,000 DialPlexQ™ ️high-precision PCR tests have been purchased for Ukrainian healthcare facilities and institutions. In addition, the Foundation purchased almost 1 million protective masks for medical institutions, parishes of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC) and industrial enterprises of Ukraine. In order to support the elderly people under the quarantine conditions, targeted delivery of 12,000 food packages was organized in Kherson, Mykolaiv, Mariupol, as well as Kyiv city and Kyiv region.
