The Foundation of His Beatitude Metropolitan Onufriy “Peace be with you!”, the Charitable Foundation of Vadym Novynskyi and the Kyiv Diocese of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC) have made up and delivered a new batch of humanitarian aid to de-occupied Kherson.

The package now included seven power generators and warm blankets for heating points that have been set up at the UOC churches in Kherson, as well as some food, hygiene products, clothes and other aid for local residents.

Three electricity generators and 500 kilograms of canned meat have been donated by Vadym Novynskyi Foundation.

“All-Ukrainian charitable mission of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church continues. We have made six visits to Sviatohirska Lavra and now we have come to support Kherson,” said Archpriest Andriy Dvorovyi, Head of the Department for Social Services and Charity at the Kyiv Diocese of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.

“Kherson really needs our help, as the humanitarian situation there is extremely difficult. Constant shelling and absence of electricity. Lots of abandoned pets. People are in dire need of warm clothes, hygiene products, household chemicals, and building materials. There are many children in the city, including babies, who need baby food and diapers. Pharmacies almost do not work, and there is an urgent need for medicines,” the staff members of the Social Services Department at the Kyiv Diocese of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church commented on the scale of the humanitarian disaster in Kherson.

Vadym Novynskyi Foundation continues its cooperation with the Ukrainian Orthodox Church to provide social and humanitarian aid to Ukrainian citizens who suffered from full-scale military hostilities.

The total amount of funds allocated by Vadym Novynskyi for humanitarian projects after 24 February stands at almost one billion hryvnias (UAH 1 billion).
