Vadym Novynskyi Once Again Covered the Issue of His Citizenship
Vadym Novynskyi has commented on an online petition filed on the President of Ukraine’s website, which requested that the Head of State check the legality of granting him Ukrainian citizenship:

“There is not a grain of truth in the so-called ‘petition’. It is a lie from the beginning to the end. It is a pity that such a tool, which is expected to draw the President’s attention to truly important issues, has turned into a farce and become an instrument in Ukraine’s political and economic struggle. This indicates the weakness of online resources. However, I have got used to being discredited over the past two years and take it calmly.

Vadym Novynskyi: the Opposition Bloc was the Only Party that Voted against the New Prime Minister’s Appointment
“The Opposition Bloc was the only Parliamentary Group that voted against the new Prime Minister’s appointment. All the other groups, calling themselves the opposition, voted along party lines rather than personal conviction. Vidrodzhennia and Volia Narodu voted to appoint Hroisman as Prime Minister. Samopomich, the Radical Party and Batkivshchyna voted to appoint Parubii as Speaker. Thus, it remains to be seen who is the true opposition and who is just a puppet in the government’s hands,” Vadym Novynskyi noted.

The Politician also stated that a resolution to appoint Volodymyr Hroisman as Prime Minister and to dismiss Arsenii Yatseniuk was not lawful.

Vadym Novynskyi: by Ending the War, Ukraine will Recover 20% of its Economic Potential
Two years ago, the Government took the path to war and declared an Anti-terrorist Operation (ATO) in Donbass. The ATO has led to tens of thousands of casualties and billions of dollars damage to the infrastructure and environment. To resolve this crisis we have to implement the Minsk Agreement, with the aim of bringing peace to Ukraine and recovering the 20% of economic potential that has been wasted as a result of the conflict. According to the People’s Deputy (MP) from the Opposition Bloc, Vadym Novynskyi, the government is obliged to implement these agreements or hold fresh elections.

“Ukraine has the capacity for economic recovery and a growth in people’s real income which could be realised by the restoration of peace and the reintegration of Donbass with Ukraine. According to Government estimates, the country has lost 20% of its economic potential due to the war in the East. Any rational authority would consider this fact alone a sufficient argument to do everything possible to implement the Minsk agreements, the only peace formula to stop the war in Donbass which is recognized worldwide. The Opposition Bloc insists on the implementation of the agreement. Every Ukrainian knows that the country, from Lugansk to the Transcarpathian region, needs the Protocol. Peace will save lives, enable economic recovery and foster a growth in incomes for all our citizens. If the Government fail to restore peace, they should stand down so someone else can do the work”, declared Novynskyi.

The transfer of Sofiya Kyivska’s Refectory to the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Kyivan Patriarchate will leave it without its UNESCO Heritage Status – MP Novynskyi

Attempts by the Ukrainian Ministry of Culture to make the leadership of the National Reserve Saint Sophia Cathedral of Kyiv conclude an agreement with the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Kyivan Patriarchate for the free use of the national architectural monument – the Refectory (Malaya Sofiya) - will jeopardize the existence of an integral site and will lead to its losing its status as a UNESCO world heritage site, thinks Vadym Novynskyi, an MP and member of the Parliamentary Committee on Culture and Spirituality.

This decision was put forward by the Ministry of Culture completely disregarding public opinion, representatives and experts from the professional community, as well as the representative office of UNESCO in Ukraine and other international organizations responsible for the protection of monuments and cultural heritage.

The Country needs a complete change of power and a new, functional political system

Yesterday's farce in Parliament is an attempt by the incumbent authorities to evade responsibility for the most serious crisis since the country got its independence 25 years ago.

Our political party did not have, and does not have, the slightest desire to participate in this sham!

We are not interested in this infighting and the jostling of the coalition factions, including the Narodnyi Front, the Batkivshchyna Party, the Samopomich Bloc and Petro Poroshenko’s Bloc. These parties are responsible for the on-going policy of genocide against the Ukrainian people, for the war in the East of the country, for the collapse of Ukrainian industry and an unprecedented impoverishment of the Ukrainians.

Vadym Novynskyi: there should be a Change of Government – re-Election of the Parliament and the President
After voting, Vadym Novynskyi, one of the leaders of the Opposition Bloc spoke to AgroPolit.com in an exclusive telephone interview. He explained that the faction had voted on a resolution expressing dissatisfaction with the cabinet of ministers, but had refrained from voting for its resignation.

Novynskyi said, “Thanks to our 26 votes (out of 243 votes) there was a no-confidence motion against the government. This would not have happened, if it had not be for the Opposition Block. Now the ruling coalition has to vote for the resignation of the government that had elected it. That is their political responsibility”.

He is convinced that Yatsenyuk’s resignation or his replacement by Mikhail Saakashvili (considered one of the most likely candidates for the post of Prime Minister) would change nothing.
